JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air-conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
- Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Startup systems and test for leaks using testing devices
- Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
JOB BENEFITS
- Permanent full-time position start at Lasalle
- Monday to Friday 6:50am - 3:00pm (Time may vary as this is a service industry) // 40-50 hours a week.
Direct Compensation
- Salary is up to 100 000$, Commission Pay based on performance (Hourly: 36-40$/hr + commission)
- Overtime and Double time paid right away
Indirect Compensation
- Health Insurance – 85% Coverage Dental, Medical, Eye Care
(50% of cost paid by employer – 50% of cost paid by employee)
- RRSP Contribution – Company to match 4% of investment to a DPSP fund – available to the employee after 2 years of service.
- Electrician receives his own company vehicle in which they can travel to and from work.
- This includes paid gas by the company. (Vehicle is not permitted for personal use during off hours)
- Full uniforms provided which includes additional seasonal clothing.
Vacation
- After 1 year of service employee entitled to 2 weeks with 4% vacation accrual.
- After 3 years of service employee entitled to 3 weeks with 6% vacation accumulation.
Personal Days
- Personal days are earned 1 per year of service up to 5 personal days.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual French and English (EMPLOYERS OFFER FRENCH COURSES ON SITE!)
- Clean Drivers License
- Certificate de Competence Compagnon
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team project
- Ability to work on rotating on call schedule
- You must be able to lift 50 pounds, carry ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excited and passionate about your trade
- Punctual and team oriented
